I don't think any of those files are required anymore, unless you are doing Direct To Java Client work.
Anybody? Hellooooooo? Well okaaaay then. I don't think anybody needs them anymore. But seriously though, I believe that the few things that used them are now either long gone or only used by a few. WOlips will still create them, or at the very least not mess with them. You can turn them off in the WOLips build preferences.
