Thanks everyone, I have it installed. My application compiles and kind of 
starts. (I get an EODatabaseContext JNI error that I assume is simply related 
to not having the database connection properly set up.)

I also installed the deployment tools (Markus book's instructions) but with 
that there was a small problem:

redirects to

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1548210/Downloads/WODeployment/deploy.sh

and when you execute that curl command you have to use the updated url.
