The shell script wotaskd.woa/Contents/Resources/SpawnOfWotaskd.sh is actually responsible for starting the app. The old WebObjects version would redirect the start output to /dev/null, while newer Wonder versions may redirect it to /Library/WebObjects/Logs/SpawnOfWotaskd.log if a /tmp/logWebObjects file exists. So you may have to modify the actual log file location and then enable logging.
