IMAP/POP is for READING mail, SMTP is for SENDING Mail.

So I don't quite see what you're trying to do here. You want to use
WO to see if a mail that they're SENDING has the right e-mail
address? There's already an WO->SMTP object in WO4, no doubt it
returns an exception if SMTP kicks back the e-mail immediately.

Well, you can use someone's EOAdaptor to LDAP to double check the
e-mail address if the users e-mail address is stored in an LDAP
archive. (The LDAP adaptdor is on Peak and Peanuts).

Or did you want something that could read e-mails, then parse them
and submit them to your WO business objects? It would be possible to
write an EOAdaptor to IMAP. I wouldn't reccomend writing one for POP
as POP forces you to "get" the mail, while IMAP lets you "browse" the
mail. But I don't think that would be a WO App as much as an EO app.
