I run webpy on RHEL 5 with Python 2.5.

https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/errata/

RHEL 2, 3 and 4 are now out of their production cycles. I think it is safe to
assume that the only RHEL releases to take into account are 5 and 6.

RHEL 6 uses Python 2.6.

RHEL 5 is shipped with Python 2.5, and will be supported by Redhat until march
31 2017.

For my part, it is no problem to drop support for Python 2.5. As RHEL 5 is now
in its second production cycle (since January), I will stop using it asap. I do
not know about other, but strictly speaking, RHEL 5 still in production and
receives bug fixes and security updates until 2017.
