At the moment it is a manual, and infrequent, process. If you provide the details we can add it to the list. We have plans to automate this, by providing an 'archive my repo' service which will save the repo before removing it from the database. We also have plans to deal with the other SCM RFEs such as 'make my new repo a clone of this repo'.
