Another idea: use the current Download icon from the top of the page  
(an image of a CD).  Then change the icon at the top of the page to  
something more generic (a downward pointing arrow or something, a la  
opensolaris.com), since the page of downloads it points to includes  
tarballs and suchlike anyway, not just CD images.
