I believe it is because you've uploaded the files with a very
restrictive set of permissions:

drwx--x--x 5 spoorthy users 14 Mar 12 04:02 conma
drwx--x--x 4 spoorthy users 13 Mar 15 23:48 conma1
drwx--x--x 4 spoorthy users 13 Mar 16 00:03 conma111
drwx--x--x 5 spoorthy users 14 Feb 18 21:30 conman
drwx--x--x 5 spoorthy users 14 Mar 12 03:47 conman1
drwx--x--x 4 spoorthy users 13 Mar 12 04:02 conman10
drwxr-xr-x 5 spoorthy users 14 Mar 12 03:12 conman2
drwx--x--x 4 spoorthy users 13 Mar 16 00:47 conman22
drwx--x--x 5 spoorthy users 14 Mar 12 03:17 conman3

I would suggest manually chmod'ing a+rx the files before uploading
them. I've not previously seen this happen. I wonder what
the file permissions look like for you locally?

You can also use the 'sftp' command to connect to cr.opensolaris.org.
It has 'ls -l', and 'chmod', although it sadly lacks 'chmod -R'
so you are probably better off re-uploading.
