You'd be surprised. Many of the OpenSolaris user groups have a Facebook presence, and the general OpenSolaris Facebook group has about 1500 members.
(Also, the Free Software Foundation Group has about 1000, the Open Source group about 2000, and the Linux group about 16,000...)
