Hi all,

Please check the seventh test migration of opensolaris.org content to XWiki

Some comments:

Is the backlinks stuff necessary? I can't see any benefit, and it just makes
the page bigger.

Many of those files don't belong there at all. I'll take that.

A few user groups seem to be listed under projects. For example,
bkkosug, Cracow, campus ambassadors, skosug, tvosug, valeosug

There was a small number of UGs that fell through the cracks and came over as Projects but we fixed it. So, these UGs you list above are now coming over in the UG space with their content, but they are /also/ listed as Projects and they are coming over there with no content. I'll take that.

The country/lamguage portals seem to be listed under projects. That
doesn't seem right. (And makes the list even longer.)

The portals are Project sponsored by the i18n CG. They will stay there.

It's annoying that I can't scroll the CG/project/UG lists using the keyboard.

Are you proposing an RFE?

The discussions link in the boilerplate at the top is broken.

The downloads page is pretty mangled.

We are working on some of these common pages separately (deleting some, merging others, fixing them for migration, etc). We are aware that some are broken. Thanks for the pointer.

On the LOSUG page, it's mistakenly turned the Location and Timetable
text into links.

That's a TML page and the _ seems to be doing something funky. Will check.

Ack. The page titles (what sits on the browser tabs or the window
manager puts on top of the browser) say things like

"Foo - do stuff (Project foo.WebHome) - XWiki"

That last bit in brackets needs to go. And I'm not sure we need
the XWiki in there either.

I don't see that. On what pages?

This one is an error on the current site: on the buttons page
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/about/buttons/ the Community Project
logo links into a black hole.

That page is broken in the migration as well, and we are looking at it. The link you cite on os.org should be removed (and we will). There was no graphic created for it.

The Site Map isn't.

Will check.

The Documentation link in the footer pops up a separate window that goes
to XWiki documentation. Do we want this?

It's just meant to give users a quick link to more xwiki documentation. Seems helpful to me and it's understated down at the bottom of the page.

I just had a go at the search. While it isn't much worse that the current
search, it could still stand some improvement. For one thing, if you stick
in a search term that's the short name of a collective, it should pop the
collective right up the top. Yes, the 'space' column works, but the way
it presents the results - particularly the terminology - is confusing. I'm
not sure we should have the experimental lucene search either.
Will check.

Jim
