last week i took a look at the conversion of zones brandz web pages and it was looking pretty bad... then (after looking at the list of known issues) i spent a couple days running all the zones brandz web pages through validator.w3.org. annoyingly, there are errors in the default os.o headers, footers, etc that i can't get rid of. after baselining those errors i fixed all the remaining errors generated by the content i could modify. after doing that, i took a look at the latest conversions today and while things look better, there's still problems. (i haven't tried to map these remaining issues to known defects or issues.) ed -------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/linux_applications/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/linux_applications TML Page - title is in italics: Applications tested under the lx brand ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_scla_faq/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_scla_faq HTML Page - item anchor links don't work. - items are links? ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_install/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_install HTML Page - step 4.x: titles are underlined? - step 5, 6, 7, 8: entries are missing <pre> formatting. - step 5, 6, 7, 8: bold text is no longer bold and is now surrounded by ** - step 5, list item 5: unordered list items are malformed - step 6, list item 3: unordered list items are malformed ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_downloads/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_downloads TML Page - strange line wrapping (looks 80 column'ish)? ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_project_list/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_project_list TML Page - foobar ---------- http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_linux_2_6 http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_project_list/brandz_linux_2_6/ TML Page - titles are underlined? - "Known Issues" unordered list is malformed - all <pre> tags dropped - section headers convered into normal text: Installing and Booting CentOS [45].x Installing and Booting Ubuntu 7 ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_bugfixes/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_bugfixes TML Page - titles are underlined? - snv_57 bullet, bug description is mangled - snv_56 bullet, header gone and contents showing up as part of snv_57 bullet ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_contribute/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_contribute TML Page - strange line wrapping (looks 80 column'ish)? ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_on_dev/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_on_dev HTML Page - titles are underlined? ---------- http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zones/brandz/brandz_design_doc/ http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+zones/brandz_design_doc HTML Page - random WebHome links? - x.x.x bullet names are not consistently bold. - 2.2.3 Other Interposition Points - entry points list (below <pre> block) is foobar. _______________________________________________ website-discuss mailing list [email protected]
