Here's a recent (October 2009) survey of Unix font installation probabilities
http://www.codestyle.org/css/font-family/sampler-UnixResults.shtml Our current font stack appears to be "Trebuchet MS", sans-serif. "Trebuchet MS" is pretty far down the list, not part of our default install, and, honestly, ugly. There are lots of CSS font stack choices out there; let's select a more complete one, that has Unix/Linux friendly fonts as part of its design. And cite our use of it, too. - Stephen * Also, the current hub CSS appears to be giving "Arial", "Lucida", "Trebuchet MS", Luxi for its "wikimodel-verbatim" class. I would expect verbatim to use a monospace font, or only make weight or style changes, and not introduce a different proportional font. -- [email protected] http://blogs.sun.com/sch/ _______________________________________________ website-discuss mailing list [email protected]
