Sorry. I probably wasn`t too clear. If you just want to re-parent a page, just hover your mouse over the page you want to choose as parent to get the last part of the URL. If you are moving in the same Collective you don`t need the Collective space name.

So, consider this from Advocacy:

# test pages

   * google blog search rss
   * test move

I created the page "test move" and moved it under "test pages". The URL name for "test pages" is actually "/test+pages". Just remove the + and type "test pages" in the parent box in the right nav and your page will move just fine.

hi ... to change the parent/child relationship: when you edit a page, go to the right nav and look for the "parent" box. The syntax is this: spacename.pagename. The drop down menu you are looking for is how you`d change parent/child relationships on the old site.

Hi everyone,

Has anyone figured out how to add pages with subordinate pages?

I was provided this link as a resource for creating parent/child pages
in Xwiki-land:

http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/URL+resolution

I understand the concept of space and pages within space but I see no
direction on how to create pages with a space/topic/subpage1 and
space/topic/subpage2 relationship.

I see this explanation, here:

http://hub.opensolaris.org/bin/view/Community+Group+web/content_preparations

And this description:

- Reassign the child pages to the new parent page via the drop down menu at the bottom of their content edit boxes in edit mode.

I see no drop down menu while in edit mode.

I see this left-panel menu, but I can't enter any parent/child pages
under Name:

Create:

New page

Name

*New pages are created in current space

It always creates a flat hierarchy and I see this message when I attempt to to create a page with parent/child relationship using the Name box,
like:

Name: test/test1

"You are not allowed to view this document or perform this action."

Thanks,

Cindy
