Looking at the logs, the exception wraps
ERROR Data truncation: Data too long for column 'XWD_LANGUAGE' at row 1
XWD_LANGUAGE is a varchar(5), what was it you were trying to save?
Did you set a language?

Hi Chris, apologies for the delayed reply.
My languages setting (top right corner) was set to ???, changing it to a
valid one seems to have solved the problem.
