On the website FAQ there is -

"Is cross-posting allowed?
No. Cross-posting between the mailing lists should be avoided."

Which is a bit of a contradiction in the 'no' and 'should be avoided'. In 
reality, any email with an implicit destination, e.g. being sent to more than 
one list, it will be held in moderation which generally leaves it up to the 
list moderator as whether to allow it or not....which generally means, that 
unless it is completely off-topic, will be passed through to the list. So...it 
might be better said that, it is up to each individual list as whether or not 
to allow the x-post, but that the policy is to discourage the practise. Does 
that make more sense?
