Pls check your pages "page-type" -> your homepage was set to page-type "error-page" designed for e.g. 404 website errors (page not found). The link didn't work for Silverstripe had the impression there is no homepage defined. I've changed the page-type for the homepage to "page" now, the link works. Pls go through your other pages yourself, thanks. You find the setting at the 'Behaviour' tab of the pages.
