Saw a quick post from Florian saying you're looking into self-hosting wordpress, so I thought I'd drop in my 2 cents :)
It plays very nicely with nginx/php-fpm. With correct settings and plugins it can go very quick. There's also a setting you need to stick in wordpress code to force it to use url rewiriting (it tries to detect apache plugins, which obviously fails). You can also log it down quite well using php open_basedir and equivalent settings. I'm also told the w3 total cache is worth a look, supports caching of whole pages or individual database queries. Couple that with APC or memcache. It's also way too easy to get plugin-happy, sadly. I'm not by any means saying I'm an expert at wordpress or hosting it, mind :) -- *Andrew Cassidy BSc (Hons) MBCS SSCA* Managing Director *T <i...@cassidywebservices.co.uk> *03300 100 960 *F <i...@cassidywebservices.co.uk> *03300 100 961 *E <i...@cassidywebservices.co.uk> *and...@cassidywebservices.co.uk *W <i...@cassidywebservices.co.uk> *www.cassidywebservices.co.uk -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: website+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/website/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
