So, to help you figure this out (or rather more completely identify your issue and get it reported) have a look at the main.css <http://www.libreoffice.org/themes/libreofficenew/css/main.css> You'll see that the green backgrounds (#00A500, #43c330, #rcae4c) you'll see the light fonts are mainly white #ffffff with various font weights--700 or 900. Occasional shifts into grey scale. Good hunting...
