the commands should be: grub> kernel (hd0,1)/boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-1.fc16.i686 root=/dev/sda3 rhgb quiet selinux=0 instead of grub> linux (hd0,1)/vmlinuz-3.0.0-1.fc16.i686 root=/dev/sda3 rhgb quiet selinux=0 and grub> initrd (hd0,1)/boot/initramfs-3.0.0-1.fc16.i686.img instead of grub> initrd (hd0,1)/initramfs-3.0.0-1.fc16.i686.img the rest remains the same moreover ls (hd0,1)/ lists the files in /dev/sda2 and not /dev/sda1 Regards Ankit Kumar Fedora 18 user
