Some good news related to the web stack package repository at http://pkg.opensolaris.org/webstack/
The pkg limitation which required patching pkg to access the repository has been fixed this week. This means you can now install experimental packages from the web stack repository with a standard install of IPS, no changes needed! I wrote up more details here: http://blogs.sun.com/jyrivirkki/entry/web_stack_package_repository In addition to the previously available packages, Amanda gave me a nightly build of the lighttpd packages (which are currently still in development) and I've added them to the repository. So please try them out and send any comments to the list and/or to Amanda, so they can be improved before final integration. I'm expecting/hoping all future integrations will start making nightly/semi-nightly builds available starting very early in the development process so we can all try things out early (instead of too late in the cycle as has been the case too often so far). -- Jyri J.
