Hi
Since most of our webstack component is going to reside under
/usr/<component-name>/<component-version> , a newbie to SXDE will
probably be not able to find the actual location of these binaries or
use the stack without reading any external documentation. If we
integrate all our components in such a way that 'man <component name>'
provides the following informaiton

1. introduction about the component ,
2. what location this component resides under
3. where can the user find more developer documentation

then the web stack will be useful for every one. Does this make sense ?

If there is enough consensus among component owners then can we expect
this information to be delivered as part of the component integration ?
If in case, we agree then we need to provide this information in a
consistent manner across the stack.

On the same note, we should provide option for the customer to use 'man'
on support binaries within a component (like ab, htpasswd with Apache
HTTPd) .

For example,
man ab or man htpasswd or man httpd -> should provide enough
information about these binaries and where they exist.

Currently, I don't think the currently proposed ARC case for Ruby /
Apache HTTPd addresses this ? Please correct me, if I am mistaken.

thanks
sriram
