I agree that we should create a symbolic link so that /usr/bin/php points to /usr/php5/<latest version>/bin/php. This way, user will easily know the location of php binary. I see that, this is currently in practice with 'perl' right now. With respect to 'mod_perl', it is now delivered as part of SUNWapch22m-php5 package and it is delivered under /usr/apache2/2.2/libexec/mod_php5.so. Also, with Nevada build 79, one should be able to use PHP by simply enabling Apache 2.2 service.
Please give a try with Nevada build 79 or above and see if this addresses your concern thanks sriram Eric Hamilton wrote: > [Reposting here, since I didn't know before that this was the relevant > forum.] > > I've solved my problem for now by installing Blastwave versions of > Apache and PHP5, but in the interest of saving others trouble and > helping improve Nevada, please see > http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=46890&tstart=0. > > If you've already fixed these issues with the integration planned for > build 79, great. > > Thanks, > Eric > > _______________________________________________ > webstack-discuss mailing list > webstack-discuss at opensolaris.org > http://mail.opensolaris.org/mailman/listinfo/webstack-discuss >
