Hi Lisa,

when using webtest.xml, what's important is to define wt.full as default target for the project and to put own stuff in target wt.testInWork. Finally the output folder should be configured in the property "wt.config.resultpath".

Perhaps can you provide your build output to allow me to understand what is going wrong?

Cheers,
Marc.

Hi Marc,
I did try creating the demo project and doing what it does, but importing webtest.xml didn't change anything for me. Maybe I'm importing it in the wrong place. Does it go in the WebTest script itself, or in build.xml?

I did see the announcement in the news in the website. I'm not saying the doc is bad, I'm just saying I'm not smart enough to use the doc to make it work! I did comb through the mailing list but again, the explanations are not down to my level.

If anyone has a sample they could send me that is more elaborate than the demo project, I'd be grateful. Especially someone who was doing it 'old style' and had to change it.
thanks,
Lisa

    Hi Lisa,

the changes in the result format is surely not enough documented.
Nevertheless it has been explained many times in the mailing list and is
announced in the news on the website.

I recommend to use webtest.xml through the <import file="..."/> Ant
task. This utility file contains all actions commonly needed to setup a
WebTest project and to format the results at the end. It allows to
really simplify the main build file of a WebTest project.

Even if it would be good, I don't know when/if I will find time to write
a doc concerning how to migrate to use webtest.xml. Many users have
already written that the webtest.xml's content already explains how to
use it. You can have a look too at the demo project created by the
target wt.createProject if you want to see in a real project how
webtest.xml should be used (explained in
    http://webtest.canoo.com/webtest/manual/install.html).

    Cheers,
    Marc.
