Duh. I changed ant to antfile rather than changing file to antfile. With your
correction I am back on the true path.

Thank you.

The error message makes me think you mistyped. The line should read

                <ant dir="tests" antfile="allTests.xml" />.

Thank you for the suggestion, but the situation compounds when I use
'antfile' instead of 'ant'.

The error message becomes

BUILD FAILED
C:\Program Files\Canoo\Lynx\build.xml:7: Problem: failed to create task or
type
antfile
Cause: The name is undefined.
Action: Check the spelling.
Action: Check that any custom tasks/types have been declared.
Action: Check that any <presetdef>/<macrodef> declarations have taken place.

It's a typo in the example. "file" should be "antfile".

Subject: [Webtest] Ant syntax problem in example

Using the example from the Manual/Samples page, I created a build.xml file
where line 7 reads <ant dir="tests" file="allTests.xml" />.

I have the needed tests directory and the needed alltests.xml file in that
directory.

When I run the webtest -buildfile I get the error message '...build.xml:7:
ant doesn't support the "file" attribute'.

Has the ant syntax changed or am I simply misusing it?

Thanks

Vic Havens
