Hi,
WebTest's verifyImage doesn't check the image itself. It just check if
it receives binary content with a successful HTTP response code.
Cheers,
Marc.

Hi Avander,
This is probably due to the PNG being wrongly encoded somehow or perhaps
they are using some fancy PNG features that WebTest can't understand? I
would open the troublesome PNG in Photoshop or GIMP and compare the file
info (using the inspector) to a PNG file that does display (such as this
one: http://tuxpaint.org/stamps/stamps/animals/birds/cartoon/tux.png)
and then see what the difference is.
Also, try viewing the image with different browsers as the browser
support for PNG is quite variable
(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portable_Network_Graphics#Web_browser_support_for_PNG)

Hi webtesters,
I have a webtest that breaks on a verifyImages step. Both images in
error
are small .png that do appear ok when I surf to the page manually,
there are
no other .png images on that page, a few .jpg and .gif images pass
the step.
Strangely when I type the url of these images in the adress bar of the
browser I get text for the .png and corresponding images for the
.jpg and
.gif...
Any thoughts on this issue?
TIA, Avander
