Anyone doing work on supporting other databases via the MiddleKit?
Specifically, I'm considering an adaptor for Sybase. Since MSSql is
basically just a derivative of Sybase [MS bought a code drop of Sybase
4.09-- the same that NeXT used, coincidentally-- and that became MS Sql
Server], it should not be *too* hard to do in conjunction with the
pysybase module.
Of course, I'm claiming 'not *too* hard' from a point of complete
ignorance. From here, everything is easy.
In any case, anyone done work along these lines?
I'd really like to have an interface to FrontBase -- www.frontbase.com
-- but it is likely easier to go the Sybase route simply because a
Python<->Sybase module already exists.
