I plan to release 0.8 this weekend, after successful beta period.
I have created a Release-0_8-Support branch in CVS to allow me to update
the branch seperate from the main development trunk in CVS.
Are there other packages that some of you maintain that should be
updated or at least have a build available to be compatible with 0.8?
Ian,
I just tried using the last release/build of FunFormKit and found that
it does not work with the current Webware because of a change to
SubclassResponsibilityError. If you don't want to release a new version
right now, you might want to put up a CVS snapshot with a comment about
compatibility with Webware 0.8.
Or should I put a comment on compatibility in the 0.8 release notes?
Also, has anyone tried Cheeta with 0.8?
Since we consider the third party packages to be a strength of Webware,
it would be very good to make sure tha tthe packages we are advertising
through the web site are compatible with the new release. Especially
since generating the release and posting it on Freshmeat, and SF news,
will generate new interest in Webware. It would be a shame for someone
to try it and then bail when they saw that it didn't work as advertised.
Of the third-party packages, which have been verified with the current
version of Webware vs the 0.7 release?
