Someone brought up the idea of a PoolKit, which could potentially have PoolKit.DB, or PoolKit.MultiDB, or whatever else. This sounds like a good idea to me. If there aren't the right hooks in Application to do what you need now, I think it would be better to add those hooks than to directly add the DB stuff.
