It had subtle bugs that tripped up newbies.  An important consideration
when people use it to give Webware a trial run.

There's another simpler standalone server in an experimental version of
Webware.

However, this is not an official version of Webware and contains many
differences (although your servlets will be mostly the same).  Features
from it may appear in future versions of Webware.

Standalone servers are OK to play with, but we haven't given them
priority because most real-world sites need Apache's other features
anyway (virtual hosts, mod_rewrite, selective allow/deny, https, serving
non-Webware content too, etc).
