Application calls servlet.awake(transaction).  Page's awake() stores the
transaction object in self so that it can provide the convenience methods
self.request(), etc.<<


Ah, yes. I see this now. it's starting to make sense at last... Wow,
there's a lot going on in Application, and tracing through its call chain
to see where and why something is called/instantiated, what
methods/attributes are available and why, etc. can be difficult without a
decent introspection tool like Smalltalks's three-paned browser.
