I haven't looked at SQLORB before, and though I've looked briefly at
SQLDict I haven't used it.  SQLDict seemed to me to just be a wrapper
for the DBAPI, not really useful for constructing middle objects.  It
made some kinds of database access more convenient -- a sort of
syntactic sugar.  

SQLORB seems to be a little more complete, but it's hard for me to get a
real feel for it as it is.  I think it actually is similar in style,
with a similar style of defining the class, and otherwise similar
interface.  There is nothing like the ORB that SQLORB has... but I'm not
really clear on the purpose of that object.
