YIPEEE!
Ok.. I figured out what my particular circumstances required. It seemed that although I could start the python interpreter from the shell with a header like this ( #!/usr/bin/env python ), I couldn't start up WebKit.cgi. On the Kind advice from Ian, I changed my header to something more direct ( #!/usr/local/bin/python ) and then, viola! Everything worked! Okay, I think you're all wrong here (at least if you're trying to use Webware servlets). Assuming you have a servlet in /path/to/servlet.py, you must add "/path/to/" to Application.config as a context. Then you must start the AppServer, and go to /path/to/WebKit.cgi/context-name/servlet.py I think you're trying to access servlet.py as a CGI script, which you cannot do. If you still get "premature end of headers", then something is wrong with how WebKit.cgi is set up -- you should make sure it is executable (try "./WebKit.cgi" in a shell -- you'll probably get an error, which is okay, so long as its executable). Then try typing "which python", and if for example you get back "/usr/bin/python" put in "#!/usr/bin/python" on the top line of WebKit.cgi.
