MySQLdb for "Python 2.3". ;-)

I imagine that you're using Windows, since MySQLdb can presumably be compiled for
"Python 2.3" fairly easily in environments with compilers installed, and it would seem
that you're looking for a binary - the hallmark of Windows. ;-)

Note that I refer to "Python 2.3" (and not Python 2.3) since there hasn't been an
official release yet, unless it was just sneaked out a couple of hours ago. Until
there is, and even for some time afterwards, it will definitely be hard for you to
find binary versions of extension modules - it took a long time before Python 2.2 got
certain useful extensions in binary form, and I suppose that most extension developers
aren't willing to "ride the breakage" to give those at the cutting edge something to
play with, especially when many of those people will inevitably compile their own.

My advice: use the latest stable release (Python 2.2.3, I think) or whichever one has
MySQLdb available for it. You don't really need enhanced metaclass support, do you? ;-)

Paul
