I sent this a while back but never saw it come through on the list... Here it is again.
I sometimes find that after a webware process has been running for a while, it seems to get a little sluggish. If the app server is restarted, everything gets pretty snappy, but eventually it slows down again. It seems to only get slow(er) to a point. In other words, a graph of slowness over time would be more logarithmic rather that linear. I've seen this behavior across a few different contexts on at least two different app server processes (running concurrently). Although I've done some searching, I don't have any numbers to back any of this up--it's just my gut reaction to the responsiveness of the system. Has anyone else experienced this type of behavior? If so, how did you fix it (or did you)? I'm running Webware 0.8 and 0.8.1 with mod_webkit2 on solaris 9. Could this be happening because of the caching of modules? Or a memory leak? Or it could be that my the contexts I've written are behaving poorly. (As a programmer, I hope it's not the last one!) Thanks ahead of time for any insight you can give. --John ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: YOU BE THE JUDGE.
