Hi Mark, I have Webware 0.9.2 running successfully on a CentOS 4.4 (Final) box with Apache 2.0.52 at work with no problems.
I wrote up instructions to install Webware 0.9.4 on CentOS 5 with Apache 2.2.3, and if memory serves, the procedure for both is pretty much identical, and it's fairly straight-forward. http://eringary.com/webware/ I cannot address whether or not the latest version of Webware is dependent on any Apache 2.2-specific features, but--having used many different versions of Webware on a variety of different platforms and OSes--my guess is that its dependencies would be limited to the mod_webkit2 module.
