This was intended to be an internal HCCO executive board discussion, but the auto reply sent this to the wedi listserv.

Following this email, HCCO comfirmed one of the value propositions for its members will be a mechanism for reporting and researching transactions issues, questions, concerns, and complaints.

HCCO plans on providing education materials and mediation support to its members as well.

This mechanism will be available on the HCCO website soon.

I too have had problems testing with payers. I've asked several contacts about this, even some on this listserv. The best advice I've gotten was that once there is a mechanism in place for reporting complaints then I should follow the process for filing one. I do not believe there is such a "service" set up at this time.

If anyone knows of one, if they could send out the info that would be great. I spent several weeks arguing with certain payers about their non-compliant request. But if I wanted to be approved for production in their system, I had to make the change. I don't consider this a "done deal," but at this time I don't know of any other recourse.
