Cynthia, I do not think your proposed "rules of the road" are appropriate nor enforceable nor desirable. Furthermore, mere disclosure of one's clients can violate confidentiality agreements.

I've seen a collaborative group successfully work through the 837I and P, although with a different twist (not germane to this discussion) - the exercise can be quite cut and dry and move quickly if participants agree to collaborate and stay out of the pot-shot and unfair competition business. That doesn't mean participants have to leave their business interests at the door - it means that they have to give fair consideration to the business interests of individuals in the group - we CAN HELP each other, think "win win".
