1) Ed Hafner reported on the status of the survey.  It was submitted to Transaction co-chairs and had suggestions were received which have been incorporated.  There were additional questions that have been taken to the steering committee.  The committee was requested to determine what NCVHS was doing in the way of gathering test status information and what future plans/initiatives they might have.  This will allow WEDI SNIP to reconcile what the Testing group is doing with the NCVHS activities.  Jim Schupping and/or Kristin Becker would follow up with NCVHS.  Ed had a volunteer to take the email correspondence and key it into John Huff's webserver.  However the steering committee noted that a nondisclosure agreement form would be required, and they were requested to supply the Testing group with the WEDI recommended form.  Ed noted that the objective of survey is to determine how far along covered entities are in testing and what are the factors influencing testing.

2) Technical Scenarios - John Lilleston is still working on the institutional scenarios.  Brandi Wyatt was not on call to present her status on the dental scenarios.

3) Mike DeRoche reported on the Testing white paper recommendations  The group of volunteers (Mike, Rama, Marcallea, and Brandi) had not yet convened, but Mike will try and schedule a meeting for Friday 01/17/03.  Mike had conversations w/Rama on possible ideas and email the group those ideas prior to tomorrow's meeting.

4) March 3-5 meeting suggested topics included survey results depending on obtaining quick response from the steering committee.  Ed will coordinate the presentation with the survey volunteers.  The white paper recommendations and possibly a draft white paper could be reviewed. Mike & Marcallea will coordinate that presentation.  Since the X12 meeting will be in February it was suggested that the IG ambiguities could be presented.  The group mentioned that Rich Landen is leading that initiative and should be invited to speaker.  Sue Ryder will email Rich.

Stanley Nachimson had sent out a notice of a March 2nd meeting in Chicago on Privacy with OCR.  It was suggested that WEDI SNIP send a reminder that people attending this meeting might want to attend SNIP meeting as well.

Our next call will be January 30, 2003 at 11:30 AM eastern time.  The number is 703-736-7290 or 1-800495-0245, passcode 1315339.
