Bryan - There's no requirement to submit documentation
externally regarding testing activity. But it seems a good idea
to maintain internal records that summarize the nature of your
testing activities, like a log containing dates of submission of specific test
files. And you should keep on file correspondence that you send
to and receive from your business associates and trading partners regarding
transactions and code sets testing.
It's also a good idea to create and maintain documentation
that shows your organization's progress through the testing process - this can
be an issues log that shows issue resolution over time, or a "first pass" report
from a transaction validation vendor, that can be compared in the future to a
similar report with fewer or no errors thanks to remediation of systems
that WERE generating non-compliant transactions, but are no longer doing so
