Details:

Hi all,

I was disussing with a friend, that people often use
_text_ to underline things. On weechat it's nicely to use Ctrl-C-u etc, but
that does not highlight other people's 'tries'.

So since it's very probably, a with _ surrounded words, what's to be
underlined (or bold with *text*), how about showing such words like that in
weechat?

actually it would be possible to make a plugin for that I guess. I'm not sure
it that's better to be done in the program itself (with a config-option
maybe)?

Because there would not be the need to send the text to the script, and do
things there, and back or however. I have no idea how much CPU that needs,
compared to a thing 'in weechat' itself?

I just know, something like that would be good.

If it's a bad idea to make it inside weechat, maybe a C-plugin would be the
fastest? Still the people have to download that etc.

Just some thoughts,

cheers
calmar
