Follow-up Comment #3, bug #24760 (project weechat):

Is that something set by the IRC server you connect to?
FlashCode: I tried /charset decode iso-8859-1 and /charset encode iso-8859-1
but still same error. But my locale is set to sv_SE.UTF-8. Would iso-8859-1
work even if my locale is set to UTF-8 or do I have to change locale to
irso-8859-1 also?
(anyway all other programs works FINE with swedish characters. irssi, ircII
etc) and even weechat 0.2.6 so I think this is something in weechat 0.2.7 that
is either not working or configured correctly.
