I think it is a problem with aspell and not WeeChat.
I made google search, and I found messages about similar problem in other
apps, or even in command line: problem is that hyphen seems not authorized
inside english words. I tried in WeeChat to ad hyphenated word into my french
dictionary, that's ok (but not in english dictionary).
So I think it should be better to report bug to aspell team.
Therefore, are you ok to close this bug?
