I was going to say that if the thing that's growing memory is the memory monitor, the developers "have some 'splainin to do." I haven't used pmon or cmon. I tend to roll my own inferior solutions since at least at work they have to run in user space. I'm more a fan of periodic snapshots than a daemon sort of thing.
