What version Acurite station are you using? you may not even need the bridge if you have a model Acurite that has USB from the display. We are using the 01036 model and I plug the USB cable into a powered USB hub then the hub into the Raspberry pi. I am using a Pi 3 here but it should work just fine with a Pi 2 also.
