If you’re using an RPi and do not have it configured to minimize disk IO ( or even if you do and have been running on the same micro SD card for a long time ) your micro SD card may be starting to fail. Copy your micro SD card image to your computer and then copy it back onto a new micro SD card. Use a very high quality card or even better, use an SLC memory type micro SD card. They’re very expensive but will last much longer.
