Actually, since Stretch and especially with Buster (Debian 10), 'apt' should be used in favor of 'apt-get' which is more low level. apt can even be used to install a manually downloaded package, e.g. 'apt install ./foo-1.2.3.deb' and it will handle installing the dependencies assuming they are available in the configured archives. - Nate -- "The optimist proclaims that we live in the best of all possible worlds.
