Yes, Mike I think you're right.  The weewx forecasting extension looks to 
be scraping those PFM reports for its data, so you can only choose from 
those zones where a PFM is generated.
The newer api.weather.gov can return a lot of detailed forecast information 
for quite specific locations using gridpoints, but that's not integrated 
into weewx AFAIK.
