Thank you, Michael. I was not aware that I had specified an archive interval. I may have set it when running 4.x or earlier. But this time I started with the 5.1.0 configuration file.
The Davis system was down for about two months, and I had forgotten how the wind direction plots looked. I do enjoy fast updates during a storm, but I could live with a 3-minute archive interval. I shall change it. Inasmuch as I am running weewx as the only application on an old machine, file size and performance are of little concern. I am not aware that any one out here is interested in the web site, but it is not expensive, and I enjoy making it available.
