You have possibly a comment line (starting with "#") in the first line of  
myconfig.conf.  Try to remove it and any other comment line.

Here is for exemple the content of my own myconfig.conf file :
listener 1883
listener 8083
protocol websockets
allow_anonymous false
password_file /etc/mosquitto/passwd
acl_file /etc/mosquitto/acl
