Ian FWIW - I get the same api_key not found error vs. a gw1200 but I 
couldn’t figure a way to define one. Also couldn’t figure out how to turn 
backfill off nor say which way(s) to attempt backfill. The code is just too 
convoluted to follow.

It also blows up if you have no rain sensor so I had to patch the code with 
a try/except for that.

I still lean toward MQTT being the way to go for ecowitt since 
mqttsubscribe as a driver is so solid,  but that still leaves the how to 
backfill question…
